Welcome an international student into your family for a semester or a school year, with a monthly stipend and full local support.

What is hosting?

Why families choose to host

Hosting means welcoming a motivated international student, aged 14 to 18, into your home while they attend a local private high school. They have their own bedroom, go to school during the day and become part of your family's daily life.

  • Make a meaningful impactHelp a student succeed academically and personally while sharing your culture and learning about theirs.
  • $1,250 monthly stipendWe pay every host $1,250 a month for the length of the student's stay, to help cover food and household costs.
  • Full local supportOur local team provides guidance, regular check-ins and 24/7 emergency support.
  • Flexible optionsSingle parents, couples, retirees and families with children are all welcome.
  • Careful matchingTell us your preferences, such as gender, pets, siblings or nationality, and we match as closely as we can.
  • Training and a handbookEvery host is trained before their student arrives, with a host handbook to refer back to.
